Santa Barbara, Cal., March 5-The Rt. Rev. John A. Paddock, bishop of Tacoma, died last night at Miramar, six miles from this city, after an illness of several days, caused by paralysis. Death came peacefully, the bishop passing from an unconscious state to his eternal rest. He was surrounded by his daughters and Bishop Morris, of Oregon, who has been present during the illness. The remains will be taken home for interment.
