Dale Vincent Clanton was the son of Charles Harding Clanton and Mary Victoria Wheeler. He married Lucille Juanita Fawcett on July 3, 1911 in Riverside, Ca. They had one daughter, Evelyn Victoria Clanton b. September 24, 1912. On Dale's Draft Registration he was described as tall, medium build, blue eyes and light hair and living in Reno, NV. (1917)
In a 1920 Nevada census Dale was 32 years, divorced and living in Nevada as a Salesman in a Men's Store.
He married 2nd wife Beatryce K. Dewar on August 1, 1922 in Orange, Ca. In 1930, census, he was living in Hermosa Beach, LA, Ca., married to Beatryce and working as a Manager in a Furniture Store. Beatryce was the Assistant Manager. In the 1940 census they were still living in Hermosa Beach and no jobs were listed.
Dale's mother, Mary Victoria Wheeler, died when Dale was only 7 years old. When Dale's brother, Gova B. Clanton, got married in 1906, Dale went to live with them in Riverside, Ca. Dale's siblings, Flossie and Fleta, also lived with Gova and his wife. Dale's sibling Roach was about 19, he was in the picture but didn't live with Gova Clanton and wife, but perhaps for a very short time.
