Clark married Harriet Sartain on December 1850 in Franklin County, Georgia. Record of this marriage can be found in the Franklin County Courthouse. His wife is listed as a widowed in the 1900 census and it stated she had 11 children and 11 living children.

It stated that he married Mary Elizabeth Addison, daughter of Terrell Addison and Martha Sartain. There is proof through the years and other sources that he was Clark Terrell Addison and that she was Martha Harriet Sartain.]
