MARINER S. BURGESS SR.
ADDISON - Mariner S. Burgess Sr., 70, died Aug 26, 1980 at a Machias hospital following a long illness. He was born in Harrington, June 16, 1910, son of William Lester and Louise (Babbage) Burgess. He is survived by his wife, Ethel (Seavey) Burgess of Addison; one son, Mariner S. Burgess Jr. of Addison; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry (Ruby) Alred of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Maurice and Berlin, both of Harrington; six sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Shirley) Ralston of Port Ritchie, Fla; Mrs. Kenneth (Josie) Smith of Bucksport; Mrs. Theodore (Lena) Mitchell of Hulls Cove; Mrs. Mertie Nickerson of Marshville; Mrs. Frank (Gladys) Woodworth of Marshville; Mrs. Richard (Hilda) Look of Addison; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Miller Funeral Home, Western Avenue, Jonesport, with the Rev. James Fitzsimmons officiating. Burial will follow in Church Hill Cemetery, Addison. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime.

Mariner was the son of Lester & Louisa (Babbage) Burgess.
