Marion was a homesteader in Solomon River, Kansas. He also operated a livery barn. He lived for a time on Sugar Creek Farm, Lynn County, Kansas near Boicourt. During the years 1919-1925 Marion lived in Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma with sons, Chester, Archie or Hugh until his death

His burial lot card for 1925 reads, "Marion M Lindsey."

Marion married Elizabeth Little and they were the parents of 7 children namely:

Chester Milo Lindsey
Bessie (twin of Henry) Lindsey
Henry Lindsey
Archie Jay Lindsey
Emily Lindsey
Lucille Lindsey

Marion and Elizabeth Little married about 1879 per family records.

Elizabeth's parents moved from St. Louis, Missouri to Kansas. They had the 1st white baby born in Ottawa County, near Niles Kansas. (provided by Helen E. Lindsey from interview with Archie J. Lindsey)
