James Hale Lane (aka. Marion Taylor)

James Hale Lane, 66, also known as Marion Taylor, Kingsport, died Monday evening (April 1, 1991) in the emergency room of Indian Path Medical Center.

Born in Rye Cove, Va., he had worked all over the United States retiring to Kingsport over 10 years ago. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy Seabees and was a retired welder and pipefitter.

Mr. Lane was a jazz, bluegrass and country musician. He was a member of the VFW.

He was preceded in death by one son, James Alden Lane, Jan. 31, 1991.

Memorials services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home Chapel with William Gam­ble and David Deglar officiating.

The family will receive friends after the services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Military committal services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mountain Home Na­tional Cemetery by the Tommy Miller Post No. 4933 of the VFW.

Memorials may be made to the Kingsport Symphony, 1509 Watauga, Kingsport, Tenn. 37660.
