Kenneth F. Dent, 68, of 53 Spruce St., Oil City, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 10, in his home.

Born May 11, 1920, in Clearfield, he was a son of Earl F. and Mabel Ireland Dent.

Mr. Dent had resided in Oil city for the past 38 years.

He was retired from the Oil City School District in April 1979 due to ill health.

Prior to working for the school district, Mr. Dent was employed for several years as an auto body repairman by Etzel Auto Body and Graham Auto Body.

He was a member of the Pulaski Club, Oil City, and the Franklin Moose Lodge.

Mr. Dent was married Sept. 6, 1947, to Faye L. Greenawalt who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Larry K. Dent of Oil City and Ricky F. Dent of Grove City; his mother, Mabel Ireland of Clearfield; a brother, Robert Dent of Bellevue, N.J.; a sister, Patsy Luzier of Clearfield; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His father and a brother Darrell Dent, are deceased.

The family will receive friends in the Morrison Funeral Home, Oil City, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. John W. Stevenson, pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church, Oil City, officiating.

Interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
