Douglas Alford, 50, of Allen, Texas, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen. Interment is to follow immediately at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Douglas Alford was born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Edward Jackson and Sylvia Maxine (Gentry) Alford. He was a graduate of North Garland High School where he participated in football, rodeo, and many other activities. Doug married Brenda Jones on May 28, 1998, in Plano, Texas. He worked in the electrical distributor business for his entire career. Doug loved hunting, fishing and playing golf.
Doug is survived by his wife, Brenda; son, Hunter Alford; stepson, Nick Lee; mother-in-law, Joyce Jones; brother-in-law, Steve Jones, all of Allen, Texas; and a host of other loving family and friends.
