Mr. Powell died of cancer April 14 at age 64.
He was born Oct. 21, 1930, in Honolulu. He was a longshoreman who worked in Coos Bay, Astoria, Portland and Longview, Wash.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife, Alene; sons, Kenneth E. Jr. and Scott E., both of Vancouver, Wash., and William L. of Portland; daughters, Leilauni L. Hauck and Kenya A., both of Portland; brother, George R. of Portland; sister, Eloise Moshburger of Portland; and nine grandchildren.
Interment in Rose City Cemetery.
