John H. Sentz went home to be with the Lord and use his God given talents in the heavenly choir on Saturday May 12, 2012. John was born in Asheville, NC October 29, 1943 to John Henry and Dollie Elizabeth Pressley Sentz. Throughout his life, he lived in San Jose, CA, Oak Harbor and Snohomish Wa, Falls Church VA, and Sevierville, TN.

John was born into a musically gifted family and began his music career at the tender age of 4. John and his sisters sang as a trio "The Sentz Victor Trio" and sang at tent revivals and camp meetings including many with the Rev. Billy Graham, the Jordanaires and the Chuck Wagon Gang. Music was John's passion and he had a successful career in the music industry for more than 50 years singing big band, country, 50's and the music of his heart, Gospel. John also drove a school bus for more than 20 years with 16 on the same route in Sevier County. He loved the kids at Caton's Chapel School and drove a good number of his "kids" from kindergarten to graduation. John loved the Chapel kids and spent his free time coaching soccer and softball for more than 10 years.

Johnny had a strong work ethic, was a frugal man and had a deep protective instinct for the women in his life. His sense of humor was playful and pranks his favorite past time.

Johnny's richest quality was the love he had for his family and his desire for peace and togetherness. His legacy to his children is the depth of his love, compassion, sensitivity wrapped up with music and laughter. By far his greatest was his example in teaching them to know and love the Lord.
