He applied for naturalization to the USA, but died before it was finalized. He died of Cirrhosis of Liver (Hydrothorax), inflamation of the heart (myocarditis). He is buried in the same grave as his son Henry and daughter in law Catherine Lahiff Stone. South East Hillside across from Easterly slope, Grave # 1154 The grave is not marked with his name.
