W.W. Allemang, an old and much
respected resident of Basswood, died very suddenly on Tuesday of last week, of heart disease. The aged gentleman had just gone into the garden for the purpose of catching a horse which was running loose, and while performing this duty was stricken dead without a moment's warning. He was seventy-five years of age, and had been a resident of Basswood for a great number of years. The funeral was held on Friday, the remains being interred in the cemetery at Basswood.
