Dr. A. B. Gingrich, of Funkstown, Pa., at one time a popular doctor, but of late suffering from aberration of the mind brought on by excessive drinking and the use of opium, committed suicide on last Friday morning. [Indiana Weekly Newspaper, Indiana, PA, June 17, 1886, Page 2] His wife was Mary Ann Cassel. After he died, she married a Sidney M. Blatt (although his name was spelled quite differently in the 1900 census - Blatt, Sidahaw)
