Harry was born to George William (Bill) and Mary Elizabeth Miller Arrans in Clay Co. Miss. Mary was interred at Carolina Cem., Prentiss Co. Miss. She remarried a Mr. Polk after the death of Bill Arrans. Harry's siblings included Edith Alice (Eddie) Arrons (Ryan), Willie Caroline Arrans (Baldwin), Rosie Arrans(Presley), and Daniel Hagins Arrans, plus half-sister, Mary Frances(Mollie)Polk(Corbin) and half-brother, Oliver Polk.
Harry married Nancy Viola Miller in Lee Co. MS, 8/6/1905. Viola's parents George Washington and Cordelia Elsieann Hawks Miller are buried at Friendship Cem. in Lee Co. MS. Harry and Viola relocated to Michigan sometimes after 1930. Their eleven children born in MS included daughters: Lillie Veloria, Leona Lorraine, Ruby E., Vernie Alma, Annie and Tempie(BORN 1927) and sons Charles A., Bill C. and Gilbert L. Arrans. The 1930 census record shows a daughter, Loraine Barnett(married) with a daughter, Delpha W. Barnett(age 1 yr.). A WW-I registration record shows him living in Nettleton, Monroe Co. MS and described him with blue eyes and black hair. He was living at 1193 E. Main St., Benton Twp., Berrien Co. Mich. at the time of his death.
