Reuvers. Hymns 'What a Friend, We Have in Jesus" and "Amazing Grace" were sung by the congregation, accompanied by Alyda Haack. Ushers were Ralph Fjeld and Daryl Haack. In charge of flowers were Darlene Prins and Priscilla Elgersma. Final resting place was at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Primghar, with military graveside services by Chateau-Thierry of the American Legion. Arrangements were under the care of Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home, Primghar.
Richard L. Admire, the son of Jesse and Delia Dicus Admire, was born February 9, 1932 in Anthon, Iowa. He attended schools in the Meriden area and graduated from Meriden High School. On March 19, 1955 he was united in marriage to Bonnie Kreykes in Cherokee, Iowa. After their marriage Richard served in the Air Force for 16 years, retiring as a Tech. Sgt. The couple moved to Primghar in 1965 to make their family home. Richard passed away on Friday, February 19, 1993 at the Marian Health Center in Sioux City, reaching the age of 61 years and 10 days.
He was a member of the American Reformed Church in Primghar, the Chateau-Thierry Post of the American Legion, and the DAV.
Richard leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Bonnie of Primghar: two sons, Rick and his wife Becky of Sgt. Bluff, and Mark and his wife Janine of Belleville, II.; two daughters. Dawn and her husband Terry Simm of Paullina, and Lisa and her husband Steve Sauer of Milford, Ne.; nine grandchildren, Katie Admire, Sara, Scott and Samantha Simm, Andrew, Billy and Jay Sauer, and Nicole and Mark Admire; four brothers, Jim of Sioux City, Frank, Bob and Arch, all of Cherokee; two sisters, Mansel Dillie of Cherokee and Eldora Hansen of Crawford, Ne.; also a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin; parents; infant sister; and brother, George.
