Stanley A. Smith, 95, of Loch Lynn died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at his home. Stanley was born on March 14, 1917 in Deer Park, the son of the late Ramsey and Nora (Glotfelty) Smith. Stanley retired as an auto repairman, a job in which he took great pride. He was a member of the Kitzmiller Assembly of God. Stanley enjoyed spending his time hunting, fishing and tending to his garden. He is survived by two sons, Richard Stanley Smith and wife Melva of Oakland and James Patrick Smith and wife Betty of Madison, OH; two grandchildren, Patrick Smith and wife Donna of Madison, OH and Kimberly Ford of Mentor, OH; four great grandchildren, Katie and Abby Smith, and Meghan and Justin Ford; also, a brother, John Smith of Rawlings. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet M. (Campbell) Smith in 2002 and two brothers, Leo and Tom Smith. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 PM on Monday, May 14th at the BURDOCK-FREDLOCK FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, MD where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 15th at 10 AM with Rev. Lee Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in Deer Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Garrett County P.O. Box 271 Oakland, MD 21550.
