Frances Aid-MacEinri, 75, of Harlingen, Texas, formerly of Dubuque, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
Services were held Saturday, May 5, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Harlingen. Burial was in Ashland Memorial Park, Harlingen. Rudy Garza Funeral Home Chapel, Harlingen, was in charge of arrangements.
Frances graduated from Clarke College, University of Iowa and Georgetown University. She was a language and linguistics professor at Clarke College, Florida International University and the University of Texas, San Antonio.
She was active in parish ministry and administered assistance to migrant workers. She even spent three years in Equador at the Working Boys Center.
Surviving are two sisters, Teresa Aid McCabe and Rose Mary Aid Holbert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Padraig MacEinri; and her parents, Francis and Zita Armstrong Aid.
