Son of William M Garner and Sarah Street. Married Frances Jane Jones 5 Aug 1857 in Ark. Their children:

Went on horseback in a winter storm on a medical call. Became ill and died.
Rogers Democrat Jan 9, 1902 states died of typhoid fever. Services at cemetery conducted by the Masonic Lodge. The couple had lived in Benton Co one month. He practiced medicine and owned a grocery store along with his son-in-law Eli Key.
Thomas and Frances took their children on a trip to see their country. He closed his practice, prepared a covered wagon to travel and live in. The trip over one year period took them as far as central Texas.
