James Everett Hearn, 78, Princeton, died at noon Friday in a Bluefield hospital.

A retired Virginian Railway Co. brakeman, he was a member of the Princeton Old Guard. Born June 6, 1890 at Ada, he was a son of the late Alonzo G and Elsie Kirby Hearn.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs Stella Fay Bailey Hearn; a son, James Michael, at home; two half-sisters, Mrs. Leona Cary, Newport News, Va., and Mrs Goldie Ivan, Beckley; five half-brothers, Lawrence, Beckley; Charlie, English, Otis, Eau Gallie, Fl., Walter, Louisville, Ky. and Bernard Hearn, Philadelphia, Pa.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm today in the Burns Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton with the Rev. Douglas Williams in charge. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be W. S, Jake and Carl Six and Roay and Billy Keffer.
