Funeral rites were conducted Sunday afternoon for Irving Allred at the Allred home in the 10th district, but the Rev E M Smith, Missionary Baptist, and the Rev R B Hart, pastor of the Christian church at Livinston, with burial in the Allred family cemetery near the residence.
He was 82 years of age...and joined the Christian church 32 years ago.
He was the son of Charles and Epsey Ramsey Allred and the eldest son, his father having passed away when he was a lad. He had never married, living with his mother until she died.
Surviving are one niece, Mrs. Cora Poteet Qualls of Livingston, and his nephews, Prof C Ernest Allred, a member of the faculty at the University of Tennessee, and Loama Allred of Allred.
