James Ash

James Escar Ash, 77, of Houston passed away June 26 in Houston. Funeral services were held June 29 with graveside services at Boggs Cemetery.Mr. Ash was born December 1, 1898 in Austonio.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lulu Ash of Houston; two sons, James B. and Bill H. Ash, both of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Crofford, Mrs. Virginia Smith, both of Houston, Mrs. Polly Knox of San Antonio, and Mrs. Betty Vanderveer of Temple; three brothers, Ed Ash of San Antonio, L.L. Ash of Crockett, and Herman Ash of Baytown; two sisters, Mrs. Georgia Crofford of Austonio and Mrs. Bee Tyler of Arkansas; 16 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Calloway Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
