~Obituary~

Eugene "Man" Abrams, Jr., was born on 12 November 1902 to the Eugene Abrams, Sr. (May 1876 – 8 Feb 1930) and the former Imdious Raiford (2 September 1865 - unknown) in Boston, Georgia. He relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida, returning to Georgia to take his bride, the late Laura Belle Dixon (29 October 1903 – 17 November 1975). God blessed their union with nine children, four of whom preceded him in death.

Eugene moved to Mims more than six-ty four years ago from Saint Petersburg and united in membership with Greater Saint James Missionary Baptist Church. He has served in many capacities at St. James, such as, chairman of the deacon's board, president of the senior choir and served on the usher board.

He slipped away quietly on the morning of Saturday, 25 June 1994, at the Titusville Nursing and Convalescent Center.

Besides his parents and wife he is preceded in death by four children including one son, Ernest Earl Abrams (d. 1993); three daughters, Mary Abrams (d. 1939); Martha Abrams (d. 1939); Bettye Jean Abrams Warren (d. 1990); _____ siblings including ____ sisters India Abrams (d. 1920); Magnolia Abrams Cuyler Warren (d. 1967); Leila Dolores Abrams Wilson (d. 1992); _____ brother George Abrams (d. 1981).
