Bertha R. Farley, 87, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018, in a local hospice. She was a native of Wichita Falls, Texas and had been a resident of Starks for the last 45 years, moving from Pasadena, Texas. Bertha enjoyed spending time with her family. She was married on Nov 22, 1947.

Survivors include her children, Charles D. Farley, Jr. and wife, Ethel, and Carolyn Brent, all of Starks, Nancy Leteff of Magnolia, Texas, Peggy Martin and husband, Wayne of Bridge City, Texas, Kathy Weston of Booneville, Arkansas, and Cindy Hickman and husband, Mike of DeRidder; twenty grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. Farley, Sr.; sons-in-law, Howard Brent and James Leteff; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Glen Farley, Timothy Alan Farley, and Rhonda Gail Canada; and a great-granddaughter, Allison Louise Farley.

Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 8, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Revs. Chris Bankard and Doug Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Menard Chapel Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
