MATHILDA KLAPPERICH

Mrs. Michael Klapperich died at her home in the town of Stockbridge on Sunday evening, Aug. 14th shortly after six o'clock. Some eleven months ago Mrs. Klapperich suffered a stroke of paralysis and gradually failed until death came as a relief to her suffering.

Mathilda Anders was born in Germany Sept. 17, 1847, and came to this county with her parents when a young woman, located in Charlestown where she was married on Aug 1, 1875 to Michael Klapperich. They began housekeeping at Marytown and continued to reside there until 1899 when they moved onto a farm which they purchased at Kloten. She was a good woman, held in high esteem by her neighbors and friends, devoted to her husband and children and a devout member of St. Elizabeth's church.

The funeral was held from St. Elizabeth's church, Rev. Fr. J. H. Huhn of Jericho celebrating Requiem Mass with interment in St. Elizabeth's cemetery.

She is survived by her husband and five children, Mrs. Peter Propson of Flint, Mich., Mrs. John Steffens of Lindsey, John Klapperich of Stockbridge Town, Mrs. Adrian Wettstein of Wabeno and Mrs. Simon Wettstein of Stockbridge town. Two brothers, Paul Anders of Fond du Lac and Julius Anders of Oak Park, Ill, and twenty-six grandchildren also survive her.
