Alivilda Verne Mary Reems was born January 11, 1936 in Buffalo County near Monticello, MN. She was the daughter of Rogo and Sarah (Lovey) Reems. As a young girl she moved to ND. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Mabel and Ralph Reems, on a ranch 16 miles North of Kildeer. Her schooling was done in a rural school near her home. Following her schooling, she moved to NE and later to Carole, IA where she was the nursing home administrator. Mickey also lived in Omaha and Lincoln, NE. She was a hotel manager while living in Lincoln. In 1985, she moved to Hastings, ND. She worked at Barnes County Senior Services for 2 years. Her grandchildren were very important to her. She liked the outdoors, sewing, crocheting, and collecting dolls. Mickey is survived by her children, Robin (Deb) Fritchie of David City, NE, Rebecca Johnson of Lincoln, NE, Paul Edward (Diane) Fritchie of Hastings, ND, Betty (Richard) Risser of Sanborn, ND and Coleen (Steve) Piatz of Sanborn, ND; 15 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; and her aunt Mabel and uncle Ralph.
