Dr. Paul R. Foxworth, Sr., age 71 of Chipley, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Bay Medical Center in Panama City. Paul was born January 15, 1941 in Palm Harbor, Florida to the late Alrie and Emma Lee (Skinner) Foxworth. A graduate of Baptist Bible Institute, he had been a pastor at several churches in the area. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Association and loved his pastoral and mission work as well as fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by a brother, Johnny Foxworth. Survivors include: his wife of 52 years, Gwen Foxworth of Chipley; one son, Paul Raymond Foxworth Jr. and wife Gail of Rentz, Georgia; two daughters, Donna Cauley and husband Neal of Bethlehem, Georgia and Spring Canady of Chipley; four brothers, Alvin Foxworth of Foster, Missouri, J.R. Foxworth of Vernon, Jerry Foxworth of Chipley and Roy Gene Foxworth of Chipley; one sister, Agnes Scurlock of Chipley; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren as well as his little buddy "Winston". The family will receive friends Sunday, May 20. 2012 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Brown Funeral Home, Brickyard Road Chapel with the Rev. Mark McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in New Orange Cemetery near Chipley. The family suggest those wishing to do so, make contributions to Gideon's International P.O. Box 308 Chipley, Florida 32428.
