A view of the late Henry Wilmore,
born March 3, 1900 in Anderson County. He later moved to Houston County, and united with the Greater New Hope Baptist Church , There he was crowned a deacon at a early age. He and his family moved to Crockett in 1952 but, still remained a faithful member of Greater New Hope for a few years before moving his membership to Progressive Baptist Church
in Crockett, Texas. He served as chairman of Deacon Board
and remained a faithful member until death. Papa Henry, worked in love, wisdom, humility and with courage, patience, and joy.
