"Captain" David Wesley Ensminger was my children's great-great-grandfather. He was the son of William Pryor Ensminger and 1. Elizabeth Toler. He md. 1. Alice Shipp. Their children were Alice Fenella (Cuny), Leonia (Baker), Pearl (Bondurant), Lessie, Myrtle and Mary Ensminger (Tillotson). Wesley md. 2. *Lou Katherine/Kate Scott Nov. 24, 1886 Franklin Parish, LA. Their children were *Winnie Scott (Mask), Wesley Jackson "Jack", Eva (Hundley), Comfort Katherine (Watson), Ada Dean (Mashaw), and Reginald William "Rex" Ensminger, all b. Winnsboro, LA. Wesley's siblings were Margaret, Andrew Jackson Sr. and Frithania "Fanny" Ensminger. The big old family home of D. W. and Kate Ensminger was on Prairie St., where Kings or Magnolia Nursing Home sets today. David was a Captain on a river boat in the Mississippi River. He was Winnsboro, Louisiana's first Marshall.
