COEYMANS -- Edith J. Vroman Alberts, 83, died Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Edith was born and lived most of her life in Coeymans. She was a life member of the Coeymans Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Edith was the wife of the late Frederick Alberts. Survivors include her children, Darleen (Corky) Westervelt of Coeymans, Shirley (John) Gransbury of Selkirk, Frederick Alberts of Coeymans, Larry (Donna) Alberts of Ravena and Kim (Steven) Sebert of Ravena; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; niece, Shirleen (Dean) Kreplin; two grandnephews; and several other nieces and nephews. Edith was predeceased by her grandson, John VanAlstyne, two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held 10:00 Friday morning November 21 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. Contributions to the Grace United Methodist Church or the Coeymans Fire Co. would be appreciated.
