George W. Brown. 1043 Chatham Street, died in a local hospital early yesterday after a long illness.

Mr. Brown, an employee at the Naval Ordinance Plant, was born in Telfair County, the son of Bart Brown and Georgia Ann Blankenship. He moved to Macon 18 years ago from Dodge County.

He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Della Jones of Macon, three daughters, Mrs Vera Spivey and Mrs. Pearl Amerson , both of Macon, and Mrs. Ruby Lee Patrick of Albany, three sons, Monroe Brown of LaFayette and Elmer Brown and Robert Brown, both of Macon. 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Brown of McRae and Dock Brown of Sanford, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held in the Church of God on Houston Avenue, at 4 p.m. today. The Rev. Harvey Howard will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
