Ora Hutchins Taylor, 86, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Monday, October 4, 2010 in Biloxi. Mrs. Taylor was a resident of Biloxi for 52 years and a homemaker. She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of First Baptist Church of Biloxi. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Charles Hutchins and Eunice Pauline McGowan of Jackson, MS; three brothers, L.C. (Bub) Hutchins, Jr., Ray and Jerry Hutchins; four sisters, Ruby Hutchins Bradley, Louise Hutchins Barnhill, Sue and June Hutchins; her husband of 47 years, John Elias Taylor and a granddaughter, Paige Elizabeth Taylor. She is survived by two brothers, Russell G. Hutchins of Biloxi and Jack L. Hutchins of Jackson; one sister, Jewell Hutchins Harper of Biloxi; her children, Bobby C. Taylor, Charles R. Taylor (Alice), Merry Taylor, Libby Taylor Bates, and John Taylor (Melanie) all of Biloxi, Johnnie Frances Bodouin (Jeffery) of Petal, MS; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Six of Mrs. Taylor's grandsons were asked to serve as pallbearers, Edward Reid of Brookhaven,MS; Terry Taylor of Baton Rouge, LA, Bob Bates of Shreveport, LA; Jason Bodouin of Mobile, AL; John Taylor III of Biloxi, MS and Jay Taylor of Tucson, AZ. Funeral services will be on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Biloxi. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
