Margaret T. Gibson, mother of John Gibson of Gilespie, died Thursday, August 26, 1999 in Carlinville Hospital. A resident of Plainview, she was 90 years old on July 19. She was born in Macoupin county, a daughter of John W. and Martha Fones Davis. She married George E. Gibson in 1927 in Carlinville. He survives. Surviving besides son John are four other sons, Harold Gibson of Carlinville, George Gibson of Plainview, Bill Gibson of Girard, Elmer Dean Gibson of Foosland; daughters Evelyn Drew of Palmyra, Dorothy Taul of Brighton, Mary Loy of Medora; 29 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and (unreadable) great great grandchildren. Services were held this morning in Shipman at the Targhetta Funeral Home. (Unreadable) at the Shipman Cemetery.
