Mr. Coyne was born July 14, 1915, to Walter W. and Margaret Thomas Coyne in Milwaukee. On Feb. 14, 1941, he married Winifred Fontanna at St. Patrick's Church and was a retired salesman for Dartmouth Clothing. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue at home; two sons, David of Fond du Lac and Steven of Janesville; two grandchildren; three brothers, Harold of Fond du Lac, Donald of Milwaukee and Wayne of Yuba City, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs Ivo (June) Ebertz of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Lawrence (Dorothy) Willis of Tempe, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his wife on March 26, 1980, three sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The Rev. Edward Sippel will officiate. Burial will be in Rienzi Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
