Mrs. Mildred E. Baker, 48, of 808 E. Jackson St., former organist at Muncie theaters, died Saturday afternoon at Ball Hospital after an illness of 10 days.
Widely known in music circles here, Mrs. Baker played the pipe organ at the old Columbia Theater and later played at the Rivoli and Starnd.
She was the wife of Bennett S. Baker and was born in Muncie. Her parents were the late John E. and Harriett Knotts Taylor.
Also surviving are a son, John.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Meeks Mortuary by the Rev. Albert Clarke. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Monday and before services Tuesday.
