Mrs. Retta H. Meredith, 97, of Parkersburg, died Sunday in Turtle Creek Convalescent Center.
She was born in Newark, Wirt County. She was the oldest living member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the King's Daughters Circle.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Afflack and Mrs. Beatrice Smith of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Meredith; three sons and one sister.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at Ogdin Funeral Home with the Rev. Baber Morris officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
