Scherf, Louis J. (24 OCT 1858 - 8 MAR 1930)
Louis John Scherf, age 71 years, and a pioneer settler of the town of Hixon, Clark County, Wis., passed away at he home northwest of the village Saturday, after an illness of several weeks, but it was only the last few days before his death that he was confined to his bed. The cuase of death being given as heart trouble.
Mr. Scherf was one of the early settlers in that vicinity and for several years served on the town board, and also held other public offices. He was a man well liked in the community, and which there developed one of the fine farm of the township.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon. Mr. Smith of the International Bible Students Association of Milwaukee, officiated, and burial too place in Reverside Cemetery.
