Died Sept 15, 1900 with five other loggers on the Eau Claire River, 5 miles east of the city; John McQuestion, John Liter, Andy McQuaid, William Prayfrock & Thomas Cameron were the other victims of the remnants of the Galveston, Texas hurricane.
