Harriet was the eldest of six children born to John F. Colbert & Juliet E. Iliff. She married Charles Miller March 7, 1875, in Saunders County, Nebraska. Some time before May 1876, they moved to
Perry County, Ohio and were living in Ashland, Nebraska again, by September 1882. They had four children, Thomas & Elizabeth M., born in Ohio, & Wesley Iliff & Charles F., born in Nebraska.
