MATSON, EDWARD J. - In San Pablo, Calif., Aug. 14, 1973. Dearly beloved husband of Nellie M. Matson; Loving brother William G. Matson of Hancock, Mich.; Also survived by 3 nieces and 1 nephew. A native of Jacobville, Mich., age 72 years, a resident of El Cerritos since 1953.
A member of St. James Lutheran Church of Richmond, Mt. Rose Lodge No. 40, F & AM of Reno, and Nevada Chapter No. 13, OES Engineer in Nevada; A member of the Nevada Mining Association; Retired from the U.S. Bureau of Mines; He was listed in 1949 edition of Who's Who of the West, and also a graduate of the Michigan Technologial University.
Services were held Friday, Aug. 17, 1973, at 1 p.m. at Sunset View Mortuary Chapel, 101 Colusa Ave., Berkeley, Calif. Memorials may be sent to St. James Lutheran Church of Richmond or the American Heart Association. Interment Sunset View Cemetery. Rev. Paul Schutze and El Cerrito Lodge No. 705, F&AM officiated.
