Daniel Reed "Danny" Klink, 62, of State College, died May 18, 2012, at his home.

Born June 25, 1949, in Somerset, the son of Reed Barron and Lois Faye (Custer) Klink. Preceded in death by his father, and nieces Mary Ann and Lee Ann Klink.

Survived by his mother, of Somerset; brothers and sisters: Carey A. Klink of Berlin; Kathleen A. Klink of Somerset; Glenn D. Klink, married to the former Darlene Mahler of Friedens; Amy J. Birkhimer and husband Daniel of Shanksville; seven nieces and nephews and one great-niece.

Danny was a 1967 graduate of Somerset High School and 1972 graduate of Penn State University. He was employed by the government as a civilian worker with the United States Coast Guard, and retired after 30 years of service. As an avid reader, he worked at Barnes and Noble Bookstore and loved Civil War military history and genealogy.

Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dr. Arthur J. Gotjen officiating.

Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
