Elizabell (Lee) Hensley, 65, of Comfort, W.Va., died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, after a long illness.

She was born May 20, 1938, at Ward, W.Va., a daughter of the late Alex and Hazel Marie Harper Kidd.

She was a retired cook for the Boone County Board of Education with 22 years of service. She attended the Marmet Nazarene Church and was a member of the Seth Church Nazarene, Seth, W.Va. She was a member of the Racine Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Holstein and Frances Williams; three brothers, Alex, Clifford, and David Kidd.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Keith Hensley; a daughter, Kathy Akers and husband, Tom of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two sons, Charles "Chuck" of Racine, W.Va., and Stephen at home; two sisters, Thelma Brammer of Seth and AnnaBell Ingram of Independence, Mo.; a brother, Charles Kidd of Hartsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Kristen Akers and Christopher and David Hensley.

Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Seth Church Nazarene, Seth, with Deloris Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Coon Cemetery, Comfort.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be courtesy of the Racine Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Seth Church Nazarene, Seth.
