Carlton H. Manchester, 82, of Westport died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Southpointe Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Home in Fall River. He was husband of the late Mildred R. (Vital) Manchester.

Born in Westport, son of the late George D. and Olive L. (Devoll) Manchester, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to retirement in 1994, he was co-owner / operator of C&K Construction Company of Westport. A veteran of the Korean War, he served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Manchester enjoyed gardening and watching sports, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include a son, a daughter, 2 sisters, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was brother of the late George D. Manchester, Albert R. Manchester, Alfred L. Manchester, Arthur G. Manchester, Milton Manchester, Mildred Baldwin and Kenneth Manchester.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, May 25, 2012 at the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Rd., Westport at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Thursday 6 – 8 P.M.

Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Westport Council on Aging Gift Fund, 75 Reed Rd., Westport, MA 02790.
