He was born in Elba Cassia county, Idaho, November 30, 1902, to Walter and Sadie Lessey Parish, the family moving to Rigby six months afterwards. Vernal was united in marriage in May 1927, in Blackfoot to Mary Treasure. He was engaged in farming south of Rigby at the time he was taken ill, later moving to town.
He is survived by his wife, daughter Gloria, mother, Sadie Parish Hansen, and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Lester Rock, Rigby; Sgt. Nevell Fredrick Parish, Everett, Washington; Mrs. Walter Passage, Burbank, California; Orvil Kember "Dick" Parish, Rigby; Mrs. Bob Lounsbury, Idaho Falls; Ona (Rex) Crystal, Camp Campbell, Kentucky.
Buried in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery.
