Roxford J. "Bud" Eddy, 70, of Jenson Beach, Fla., and the Viking Lake Park, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, in Martin Memorial Hospital, Stuart, Fla.
A Jamestown native, he was born Dec. 18, 1941, a son of the late Gordon and Marian Gray Eddy.
He was employed for 40 years by Dowcraft in the maintenance department, retiring as supervisor.
In the greater Jamestown area, he was a member of War Vets Recreation, Lakewood-Celoron Moose, Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association, Ingjald Lodge 65 IOV and its Temple Corps, Club Associates serving as vice president for four years and was a life member of the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club serving as a board member for 24 years. In Florida, his memberships include Nettles Island Church of Florida, American Legion of Jensen Beach, Nettles Island Men's Club and Nettles Island Fishing Club.
Surviving are his wife, the former Diane Nelson, whom he married Nov. 8, 1980; six children: Mark Eddy of Alachua, Fla., Vaughn Eddy of Lakewood, Roxanne Eddy of Albuquerque, N.M., Daphne O'Neal of Warsaw, N.Y., Tiffany Boardman of Lakewood, and Justyn Boardman of Busti; 10 grandchildren: Angelica, Mark, Lindsay, Sean, Tasha, Jared, Tara, Cody, Justin and Alisha; five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Cherry Brooks of Little Valley, and Gordia Thompson of Jenson Beach, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Marian Eddy.
