Stanley G. Adams, 91, of McCordsville, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008 at the VA Hospital in Marion. He was born August 17, 1916 in Woodford County, KY to the late Arthur and Emma (Green) Adams. Mr. Adams was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WW II. He retired from Rainbow Baking Co. in 1982, where he served as a transport driver. He was a lifetime member of the Teamsters Union and the local VFW, American Legion and Broadway Christian Church in Lexington, KY. He was also a member of the Orange Christian Church in Orange, IN, the Fortville American Legion Post 391, and the VFW Post 6904 .

Mr. Adams is survived by his son, Tim (Mary) Adams of McCordsville; granddaughters: Sarah Ruth (Matthew) Moyer of Goshen, IN; Anna (Noah) Foster of Indianapolis; and Erin Adams of Noblesville; and great-grandchildren: David Wolfe; and Katie Ruth and Naomi Jean Moyer.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Hunter) Adams; and brothers, Clarence and Roy.


Funeral Information

Friends may call Wednesday August 6, 2008 from 5 to 7 pm at Seals Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fortville. A memorial celebration of Stanley's life will be held at 7 pm. Burial will be on August 11 at Evergreen Memory Gardens, Lexington, KY
