Wife of Thomas "Jim" Seamans
LEOMINSTER -- Evelyn E. (Blair) Seamans, 70, of 149 Adams St., died Thursday, Feb. 10, at home, after an illness.
Her husband of 30 years, Thomas `Jim'' Seamans, died in 1984. She leaves two sons, Daniel T. Seamans of Worcester and William J. Seamans of Leominster; four daughters, Kathryn M. Rupp of Winchendon, Patricia A. Adams of West Rutland, Vt., Pamela K. Sumner of Leominster and Cynthia L. Gosselin of Hubbardston; two brothers, Ernest and Robert Blair, both of Leominster; three sisters, Olive Koski of Leominster, Dorothy Norris of Fitchburg, and Myrtle Bliss of Winchendon; 12 grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A son, Richard Seamans, died in 1966. Several brothers and sisters died before her. She was born in Shirley, daughter of William and Leana (DeVarney) Blair.
Mrs. Seamans worked for Union Products until her illness. She was a member of St. Leo's Church.
The funeral will be held Monday, Feb. 14, from M.A. Simard & Son Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Leo's Church, 128 Main St. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Diversified VNA Home Services, 316 Nichols Road, Fitchburg, MA 01420.
