Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel. 24 Aug 1977 - Funeral for A. Howe McGee, 79, of 3800 Center Hwy will be held Thurs., at 10 am in the Cason Monk Chapel with interment in Sunset Memorial Park. Mr. McGee died Tues., in Medical Center Hosp. Born 14 Feb 1898 in Joaquin, Mr. McGee was a retired oil field worker. He was the son of Zack & Mollie Height McGee, a member of the Fredonia Hill Bapt. Church & had lived in Nacogdoches since 1946. Mr. McGee was a member of the chapter, council & compandery of Milam Lodge No. 2, past patron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Nacogdoches Chapter 428 & holder of the Grand Cross of Colors, Order of the Rainbow. Mr. McGee & Stella Petty were married 30 Apr 1925 & she survives him. Also surviving are a dau: Mrs. Lillian Timmons-Seminole; bro: Wilburn McGee-La Porte; 5grandsons: Richard Timmons-Hobbs, NM, Robert Timmons-Longview, Larry Bright-Brazoria, Mark Bright-Seminole & Ronnie Bright-Dallas & a granddau: Kathy Popelka-Chaloygan, MI. Pallbearers will be James Poter, J.D. Parrish, James Coker, John Tischhauser, Archie Haney, Frank Blackburn, Kenneth Langford & Benton Weeks. Honorary pallbearers will be Masons & members of the Adult IV Sunday School Class of the Fredonia Hill Bapt. Church.
