Sue Baugh Boone (Rosamond) of Fairhope and formerly of Dothan, AL passed away peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Fairhope Health and Rehabilitation. She was born in Birmingham, AL August 26, 1918 and lived in Fairhope, AL for most her life.
Sue was married to Robert (Bob) Boone for 49 years. She loved the Fairhope area from her first visit to her sister's house in Montrose at the age of 10. Sue was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, where she served on the Altar Guild, and was an Office Angel Volunteer. She also served as a Thomas Hospital Auxiliary Volunteer for 30 years. Sue was secretary for Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce for over 12 years, where her love of the arts and great sense of humor endeared her to many people. Due to health problems in 1991, she moved to Dothan to live with her daughter and son-in-law. While there, she was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Nativity.
Sue is survived by her brother, Charles (Jackie) Baugh of Atlanta; daughter, Susan B. (John) Rivenbark of Fairhope; son, Robert A. "Gus" (Sharon) Boone of Montreat, NC; grandchildren, Lisa R. (Lou) Priester, John Robert Rivenbark and fiancée Elizabeth Richards, all of Fairhope, R. Jeremy Boone of Charlotte, NC, Anna B. (Steve) Babcock of Greenville, SC; great grandchildren, Beau and Sarah Lu Priester, Will and Jay Boone and Everett and Miller Babcock; two nieces, Kay H. (Michael) Porter of Spring, TX and Holley B. (Richard) Calmes of Hiawassee, GA; nephew, Charles Baugh of Atlanta, GA and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. James Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Montrose Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Episcopal Church Outreach Committee or Fairhope Health and Rehabilitation.
