Geraldine L. (Cooney) Joubert, 82, of Auburn NH, died March 2, 2002, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood NH after a brief illness. She was born March 11, 1919, in Worcester MA, the daughter of Thomas P. and Anna (Fitzpatrick) Cooney and had resided in Auburn since 1972, coming from Shrewsbury MA. She was educated in Worcester schools. Mrs. Joubert was a communicant of St. Peter Church. She was a former president of the Auburn Chapter of the Lioness Club and was active as a former Girl Scout leader.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Arthur J. Joubert, Sr., of Auburn; son Timothy Joubert of Auburn; daughters Judith A. Riik
and Pauline M. MacDonald, both of Auburn, and Susan L. Vaillancourt of Raymond; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and brother Thomas Cooney, Jr., of Melrose MA.
She was predeceased by her son Arthur J. Joubert, Jr., who died in 1989, and her great-great-grandson Owen Sanborn.
