Elizabeth Ann Heide Stecklein, 93, WaKeeney, died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Hays Medical Center. She was born Jan. 31, 1914, in Ellis to Wenzel and Anna (Honas) Beer.
She married Edward B. Heide on Oct. 23, 1934, in Ellis. He preceded her in death Sept. 25, 1968. She later married Theodore Stecklein in 1970 in WaKeeney. He preceded her in death March 14, 1983. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Arnold "Ed" Heide, Abilene, and Robert "Bob" Heide, Lenexa; a brother, William "Bill" Beer, WaKeeney; a sister, Mary Bryant, WaKeeney; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, WaKeeney; burial in Christ the King Catholic Cemetery, WaKeeney. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, WaKeeney. A vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Christ the King Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
